(Danville IL - April 27, 2010) - Thanks to the cooperation of its ticketing partner, ExtremeTix, customers of the David S. Palmer Arena can now buy tickets for Arena events any time the facility is open to the public. In partnership with it’s ticketing agent the Arena has begun operating a Ticket Kiosk alongside the Box Office. Now tickets may be purchased even when the Box Office is closed. “Box Office hours are being reduced and as such this kiosk is a way for us to do that and still sell to the public.” states Peter Blackmon, Arena General Manager. “In fact this actually expands our Box Office service while cutting back on labor costs.”

The kiosk only accepts credit/debit cards and issues tickets based on best available based on the number of tickets requested. For larger shows (such as this past Fall’s Jason Aldean show) the Arena will have full time Box Office hours from on-sale through event. “This is just a way for us to control costs during slower periods for sales.” Blackmon adds.

The David S. Palmer Arena left Ticketmaster for ExtremeTix in April of 2008. “ExtremeTix allows us much more flexibility in terms of providing a hard ticket for virtually any event while keeping it affordable to the consumer” Blackmon adds.
