Fresno Fair Connects With ExtremeTix™

Houston TX (January 4, 2011) – With attendance of over 500,000, on a site of more than 165 acres, there’s good reason they call it the BIG Fresno Fair. The tremendous growth of this major event had put a significant strain on the fair’s previous ticketing system and their back room operations, which prompted a search for a more modern, comprehensive ticketing solution. 

The Big Fresno Fair is far more than just the California Central Valley’s largest annual event, it is a year-round multi-use facility hosting over 150 events per year. It’s a number that increases each year as the Fairgrounds’ popularity continues to grow, in part due to the many capital improvements completed over the past decade. The Fair District has invested in excess of $13 million on capital improvements to provide Central Valley residents a facility they can be proud of and enjoy year-round.

Enter ExtremeTix, who provided industry leading ticketing solution including 35 fully networked point-of-sale stations with 2-D bar-code scanners at every entrance, its award winning online application, marketing suite and onsite support for the three weeks of the fair. On the back end, fair management had full 24/7 Internet access to an array of reports allowing them to more efficiently allocate personnel and concession supplies. The overall experience was so positive that ExtremeTix is already working with the management team on other upcoming events being hosted within the fair grounds and race track facilities.
