ExtremeTix™ Technology Trumps Fraud
Houston
TX (January 6, 2011) – ExtremeTix, a
leading provider of ticketing and event services solutions, announced today the
release of new features in its proprietary software and business processes designed
to significantly reduce the impact of credit card fraud to its client base. “In
today’s volatile economy, it is critical every sale be revenue positive and
that the peripheral costs from credit card fraud be minimized” stated Keith
Rudy the company’s Chief Financial Officer. “We have developed an extensive
real-time fraud prevention suite that combined with our automated chargeback
administration system allow for the most effective fraud prevention capabilities
in the industry.”
By
combining fraud prevention and card validation tools available through the
credit card processor, client-established filters and limits, no-sell tests,
velocity and pattern filters with its proprietary algorithms, ExtremeTix can
dramatically reduce fraudulent transactions and invalid chargebacks for its
clients. Early results have been impressive with many clients experiencing
reductions in fraudulent activity of up to 75%. In one case, a major Waterpark client
added over $250,000 to its bottom line utilizing the ExtremeTix system.
“Clients
evaluating ticketing solutions are well advised to consider the high cost of
fraudulent credit card transactions and of managing chargebacks. The lost
revenue can have a significant impact on the profitability of an otherwise
successful event. Online merchants are particularly susceptible and the effects
can and will become exorbitant if left unchecked.” Commented Rudy, “At ExtremeTix,
we continue to develop ways to minimize fraudulent transactions as well as
streamline the processing of chargebacks that are inevitable in the use of
credit cards.”
