Houston TX (February 28, 2011) – ExtremeTix, a top-tier provider of ticketing and event services solutions, announced today that Vinh Mai has been promoted to Vice President of Information Technology for the company, reporting to Charles Garrett, President of ExtremeTix.

In his new role, Mai is responsible for development, delivery and support of all technology components of the company’s products and services. He is tasked with providing industry-best operational service levels, product innovation, system and data security and development of client and consumer centric systems.

Mai joined ExtremeTix in 2001 and is credited with establishing many of the company's best practices for product testing and development, and was among the first to integrate 2-D barcode scanning into print-at-home tickets.

“The development of the 2-D barcode on a print-at-home ticket was unheard of before we brought it to market,” Mai explained. “We worked closely with our clients in finding exactly what consumers would use and made that as secure and data-rich as our clients needed.”
